Definition: AI ethicist

An individual who applies social, legal and ethical aspects to the development of AI applications. Many experts in the technology field are concerned that too much decision making placed in software may wind up backfiring. Unlike regular programs that can be manually traced step-by-step to determine if the result was programmed correctly, the many layers of AI software make it impossible to determine exactly why the outcome was generated. See AI and AI ethics.
